Who knew improv and quality improvement went together? Sarah Horst, that’s who. This genius of a woman from the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI) in Minneapolis shares her approach to creating an improvisational mindset to help teams and the humans in them thrive in a world turned upside down. Tune in to the Heartwood Treehouse Podcast for some light-hearted laughs and some solid strategies that can help you navigate our new reality now that coronavirus / covid-19 are reshaping our lives and work.

Sarah developed the Quality Improv(e) Framework, an adaptive approach to quality improvement that marries the science of improvement to the art of improvisation. As a quality improvement coach and mentor, Sarah is passionate about meeting people where they are, empowering them to safely explore new ideas, embrace mistakes and become more nimble and resilient problem solvers.

By the way, the improv teacher I mention in the show is Patricia Ryan Madson, the author of Improv Wisdom, and the woman I learned the proverb game from.

Listen in and then let Sarah and I know in the comments what resonated with you the most!

xoxo!
